Project Overview
Filters help users narrow down their search to find the exact types of products they are looking for. Users who engage with Houzz filters are twice as likely to add to cart/make a purchase than users who don’t. On mobile web (mWeb), Houzz’s filter UX was not optimized to help users refine their results. This project was to improve this experience

Process

I started with the existing tool and brainstormed with my team to figure out where we meaningfully improve the filtering experience. From competitive analysis to rigorous QA once the tool was built, this project was a full team effort.

Outcome

The new filter experience won out, with improved interactions with filters to improved checkout metrics.
