Project Overview
Testing across the Houzz marketplace has shown that users tend to engage very well with personalized shopping modules. By introducing more modular personalized content to the Houzz Marketplace Landing page, users will be better able to continue their shopping journeys as well as be recommended products based on their prior intent.

Process

After exploring the competitive space, I began an audit of our control experience. We drilled down into the essential components to maintain and which to introduce. Working alongside my product manager and eng lead, we synced with our algorithm team to determine the best logic for serving personalized content.

Outcome

On the Houzz App, the treatment was ramped to 100%. We saw 10.2% increase in orders and a 18.6% increase in GMV. This is now the default marketplace landing experience on the app.
