Project Overview
Customers engaged on the browse page on Marketplace were unable to view a list of available variations for a product - e.g. colors, sizes, config, design - reducing their consideration for either that product line or in some cases Houzz.com. This project set about to give users browsing products an idea of the possible color variations a certain product could have.

Process

After looking around the competitive space, I mocked up potential solutions. These were then discussed with the backend team to figure out feasability with the setup of our SKUs. Once the logic was set, the treatment was tested.

Outcome

On Houzz.com, the treatment was ramped to 100%. We saw an 8.5% increase in orders, 6.1% increase in GMV, and a 10% lift in product page views. This experience was then tested on the Houzz app and was also ramped to 100% after replicated similar successes.
